A Dimension: Measure the total

length of the threaded portion of the

movement mount bushing.

B Dimension: Referred to as Max.

Dial Thickness—Measure the

thickness of the dial plus material

dial is mounted to (such as wood).

This dimension determines the Total

Hand Shaft Length needed.

C Dimension: Referred to as Total

Hand Shaft Length—Measure the

overall shaft length from the front

of the movement to the end of the

hand shaft.

D Dimension: Add 1/8” to C

Dimension when using a sweep

second hand or closed nut behind a

glass panel.

If you already have a quartz movement and want to:

• Determine the Maximum Dial Thickness You Can Use—You should subtract

1/8” from the A Dimension (threaded portion of the bushing)

• Use Your Movement Behind Glass—You should add 1/8” to the C Dimension

(total hand shaft length)
